Piatã is graduated on psychology at PUC-SP, is specialized in Business Administration by FGV-SP, on Cultural Management by Instituto Itaú Cultural and have participated in the program Authentic Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
He was coordinator and senior manager for cultural sponsorship at the Santander Bank in Brazil (2010 to 2014), network manager for the project Claro Curtas at Casa Redonda Produções (2009), cultural supervisor and Subprefeitura de Pinheiros (2007 a 2009) and pedagogic coordinator at the Associação Cidade Escola Aprendiz (2006 a 2007) and at Associação Morungaba (2005).
Piatã is a member of the U40 World Forum for the promotion of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions, a network coordinated by the German Commission for UNESCO and the International Federation of the Coalitions for Cultural Diversity (Canada) and is also member of the Arts Investment Forum.
He acts as a consultant and professor on Cultural Management and Marketing for organizations like SENAC-SP, SEBRAE-MG - Casa de Economia Criativa ("House of Creative Economy") and CEMEC-SP and as speaker on different national and international forums and conferences, such as: African Creative Economy Conference (Morocco - 2014); Rio+20 (2012); Seminário Empreendedores Criativos at MIS-SP (2012); Seminars on the 2005 UNESCO Convention on Diversity of Cultural Expressions, organized by the Brazilian Cultural Ministry (2011); Arterial Network Conference (South Africa - 2010); among other events.
He has published articles for international publications as "Cultural Diversity in International Law - The Effectiveness of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions", edited by Routledge, and "Mapping Cultural Diversity - Good Practices from Around the Globe.
